I have written a number of java applets relating to physics. More coming, when I find the spare time.
- Electric Fields - plots the electric field around an arbitrary system of point charges.
- Nanotubes - visualize how the graphene sheet is wrapped in different ways to make different varieties of nanotube.
- Solitons - visualization of soliton-soliton scattering in the classical sine-Gordon equation.
There are also some math inspired games. These were written for masterclasses in mathematics given to primary age (10-12) children in Edinburgh and Glasgow in the early nineties. The games were used to demonstrate various concepts in maths - mainly related to pattern spotting. My original code for these games was in 6502 assembly language for the BBC Micro computer - I'm very slowly adapting the most interesting of them to java for future use.
